Try walking a day in someone else’s shoes.
Lightfest is an event in support of Light Patrol, a Toronto street outreach program dealing with at-risk youth. The client wanted a contemporary look which incorporated the theme of light with the walkathon nature of the event.
I chose to create a flame symbol with shoes of all sorts, juxtaposing expensive business shoes with worn-out sneakers. I wanted to challenge the fortunate to remember that we all walk on the same streets, and that even a little help can go a long way for someone in need.
The client loved the final artwork and have continued to use it as their brand.
