I’m at the point in the COVID-19 lockdown where I spent the weekend migrating from vim to emacs… just for the fun of it. Of course I had to design an app icon as what I could find online just wasn’t cutting it for me.

How to replace an app icon in macOS Big Sur:
- Open the Finder
- Navigate to your Applications folder
- Find Emacs.app and hit CMD + I or right-click and choose “Get info”
- Drag the icon you downloaded (it should be in .icns format) to the small icon in the “Get Info” window in the upper-left corner
